Eurostat Air Passenger Transport — Passengers Carried By Reporting Country, Scheduled And Non-Scheduled Combined, EU, EFTA, UK And Candidate Countries, Monthly Since 1993
9,607 country-month observations of air passengers carried (all commercial flights, scheduled and non-scheduled, total transport coverage) for 39 reporting geographies (EU aggregates, every EU member state, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Western Balkan and Turkish candidate countries), 1993-01 to 2026-06, from the Eurostat dissemination API (table avia_paoc) as of 2026-09-06. Monthly periods are dated to the first of the month; country coverage starts in different years.

Methodology
JSON-stat 2.0 dataset (freq=M, unit=PAS, tra_meas=PAS_CRD, tra_cov=TOTAL, schedule=TOTAL) decoded into long format (geo, period, value); null cells dropped.
Update Schedule
Static snapshot. Member states report monthly with a lag of about three months; refresh weekly.
