By accessing or using dAgentBase ("the Platform"), operated by dAgentBase ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.
dAgentBase is a marketplace where users can buy and sell data assets including datasets, APIs, real-time data feeds, images, databases, ML models, and other digital data products. The Platform provides discovery, transaction processing, and delivery infrastructure for data assets.
You must create an account to buy or sell on the Platform. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, including API keys. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
By listing data on the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these terms, contains misleading information, or is reported by buyers.
By purchasing data on the Platform, you agree to:
All payments are processed through Stripe. The Platform charges a 5% platform fee on each sale, paid by the buyer. Sellers receive 100% of their listing price.
Prices are set by sellers and displayed in USD. Free listings are claimed without payment and create a purchase record like any other sale.
Refunds. A buyer may request a full refund of a one-time purchase within 48 hours of the purchase when the delivered data is materially different from the listing (wrong schema, missing files, a row count far below what was stated, or an unusable file), or when the files cannot be downloaded. Requests are made through the dispute tool on the purchase page. Refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe; the platform fee is refunded with them. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time and stop renewing at the end of the current period.
Disputes. A buyer may open a dispute on a purchase within 14 days of delivery. The seller is notified and may respond, approve a refund or decline. If the seller declines, or has not responded within three days, the buyer may escalate to the Platform, which reviews the listing, the delivered files and the exchange and decides on a full refund, a partial refund or no refund. That decision is final for the purposes of these terms. Initiating a card chargeback while a dispute is open may result in account suspension.
Sellers are responsible for any taxes applicable to their earnings. The Platform does not provide tax advice.
The Platform provides REST API access and MCP server integration for programmatic use. API keys are confidential and must not be shared. You are responsible for all activity conducted through your API keys.
We enforce rate limits on API endpoints. Attempting to circumvent rate limits, abuse the API, or conduct automated attacks will result in account suspension.
For API proxy and streaming data listings, the Platform acts as an intermediary. We do not guarantee uptime, latency, or data accuracy of third-party endpoints. Health monitoring is provided as-is.
The following content is prohibited on the Platform:
The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by dAgentBase. Sellers retain ownership of their data. Buyers receive a license as specified by the seller, not ownership of the underlying data.
The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for the quality, accuracy, or legality of data sold on the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your access to purchased data may be revoked.
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or platform notification.
Every listing carries a licence block stating what a buyer may do with the data (for example commercial use, redistribution, modification, model training) and what the buyer must do (for example attribution or share-alike). That block, not these terms, governs use of the data. Buyers must honour every obligation it lists when they use, share or publish the data or anything derived from it.
Datasets published by dAgentBase itself come from two kinds of source. Sets derived from Financial Modeling Prep are redistributed under a licence held by dAgentBase and require attribution to Financial Modeling Prep as stated on the listing. Sets rebuilt from public and open sources (government statistical agencies, central banks, NASA, USGS, Our World in Data and similar) are redistributed under the source's own licence, named on the listing; some of those licences require attribution or share-alike terms for derived works.
The quality grade shown on a listing is computed from the delivered file: completeness, consistency, duplicates, schema, freshness against the stated cadence, and statistical plausibility checks, each of which is reported with the grade. It measures structure and plausibility, not truth. Neither the grade nor any listing description is a warranty that the data is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose, and the Platform is not liable for decisions, trades or models based on it.
Sellers may list live services (a REST API or an MCP server). To let buyers use them through one connection, the seller stores the upstream credentials with the Platform, which holds them server-side and uses them only to forward requests from buyers with a completed purchase. The Platform meters and rate-limits those requests and passes the buyer's request parameters to the seller's service. Sellers remain responsible for their service, its availability and its own terms; buyers must not use the gateway to exceed the limits the seller sets.
You may delete your account from the web settings page. For safety, deletion is not available through the API. Deleting your account anonymises your profile, revokes your API keys and removes your personal data, subject to the retention periods described in the Privacy Policy for payment and tax records.
